An account was started with this co. when I was vested by the company I was working with, but they changed investing companies, and i didnt hear from American Financial Group again. I thought the money had been transfer to the other company. I have filed for early SS benefits, and have recieved a letter stating that I have this 401k with you. I would like to know more about it, and if I can transfer it to my Wells Fargo account, or a ROTH. can you provide me with more info? thanks!
Call your old HR department, they should be able to steer you in the right direction. Or call the number on the statement.
You'll want to do a rollover, which you can do with any advisor, not just Wells Fargo. Make sure you consider the costs of using Wells before you give them more of your money. Often an independent advisor has less conflicts and lower fees. Good luck.
