Who can help with investment related tax questions?

I have specific questions related to my investments and claiming losses on my taxes. Will any CPA be able to help me out or do I need to look for certain certifications?

Hi Gavin; If your question relates to the tax treatment for different kinds of investments, I local CPA should do just fine.

The link below is to an IRS publication which covers many investment related issues (not for the faint of heart).

There are also guides at sites like aarp.com, yahoo finance, etc.

You may want to spend a little time getting as familiar as you can with the concepts before talking to a CPA or attorney.
