I can't understand why something that should be so simple has to be so difficult. I just want to SEE my account!
HR should provide... also, you should be able to view your account anytime through your benefits access online, if your plan is fully transparent.
You should be receiving statements at least annually and probably quarterly. Also call your HR Dept to request information on how to access your account on-line.
There is absolutely no reason that you can not see your 401-K balance at least once a quarter. Contact your HR department or the advisor who oversees the plan.
Ask the Plan Administrator in your HR department. They should be able to give you a website address and instructions to log in and obtain your balance at anytime. Your Plan Administrator is a Fiduciary and should do everything in their power to help you with your request.
