Hi Jon, Sorry you are having this problem. When communicating with your old 401k provider, have you told them that you would like to do a "Direct Rollover"? I have not ever come across the problem of an old 401k provider not allowing a rollover after separation from service. However, we have had issues where the owner of the funds did not correctly communicate his/her intentions to his/her 401k provider. If so, did they give you a reason why they would not release the funds?
