Hi Deborah, I am very sorry to hear of your situation. Are you asking if you can take money from your or your husbands 401(k)? If you are then the answer is usually, yes. Your or your husbands age will also come in to play. Call the Human Resources department and inquire on a "Hardship Provision" and they can tell you what you can and can't do. Please be proactive and don't let things get worse. Call your mortgage comapny and find out if there a program that can help you. Sometimes they take a few payments that are late or due soon and add them to the end of the loan. Also, do not be afraid to ask for help. Many tmes your church has a fund set up for people in need, as does organizations like the Salvation Army. Please let me know if I can help and God bless.
