Troy, it should be very simple for you to get the information you need.
Just contact your employer Giant Eagle and ask for what you need, or call the company that is holding your 401(k) monies. The laws are quite specific regarding what you must be given and by when. If you do not get the information you request, I would suggest you calling the Department of Labor and ask if they can help you get the information you need. Most likely, they will help you. I hope this helps you. Herbie Glass , Glass Retirement Strategies,, Inc.
Hello Troy, In reading your question I am confused that you would be getting letter from the 401(k) provider, but no statements showing your account information and balance? I would contact your 401(k) provider, they should have an 800 number you can call to find out what your invested balance is and why you are not receiving statements.
You can find out the contact information for Giant Eagle's 401k plan administrator here: http://www.brightscope.com/401k-rating/118285/Giant-Eagle-Inc/120060/Giant-Eagle-Inc-Employee-Savings-Plan/
They should be able to help you out. If not, try the store manager where you worked. If that doesn't work, then you can try the HR department. You should have a login here: https://login.gianteagle.com/ or you could try contacting them here: http://www.gianteagle.com/System-Pages/Lightbox-Forms/Contact-Us/
