If I am fully vested, quit my job and caah out my 401k will I receive the employer matching contributions if under 55?
Matthew - you need to get a copy of your company's 401k plan "Summary Plan Description" and review it with someone in the Benefits Department or even call the Third Party Administrator. Carrie - contact the Benefits Department, HR or your payroll office and they can most likely tell you how to start this process. Mike - it is important to note that if you want the $10,000 exemption you must roll the money from your 401k plan TO an IRA and then take it home-purchase exemption applies to 401k withdrawals.
