How can i find out how much i can borrow from my 401k??
I would first deal with the question, why do you want to borrow from your 401(k)? This is usually a bad idea and should be tempered by the opportunity costs and risks. You should meet with an expert who you trust to reveal sufficient information to give you a holistic view on the impact of this ac...  (more)

I want to withdrawl my 401k. What is the first thing i need to do to do and how long will it take to receive my money.
Better get a second opinion on your plan before doing anything. The most important question, though, is why? Are you unhappy with the 401(k) performance? Is it shrinking instead of growing? Do you feel ignored? If you still work for the company that hosted the 401(k), do they even allow loans or...  (more)

How do I find a seasoned Financial Advisor of exceptional talent in retirement portfolios?
If you're recruiting for partners, team members or actual employees then I recommend you master LinkedIn search and networking. Facebook groups can be useful too. But the best strategy is to be upfront and specific about your "opportunity" and why you think it is truly an opportunity....  (more)

Withdrawing from 401k to pay off a mortage.
Edwin, there are a lot of moving parts to your plan. But the general rule of thumb I use is that you should not pay off the mortgage if its net cost is lower than a safe investment rate of return. I know. Jim Cramer yells about the absolute evil of debt, to be paid off at all costs and above all ...  (more)

Can i unlock my pension. I have onemillion500000 and feel terminal?
What do you mean by "unlock"? Liquidate the whole account right now and spend it? Or, if you have no lump sum rights, maximize the immediate pension payments? Why don't you check with the plan administrator as to your specific provisions?...  (more)

How can I calculate my payout if I retire at age 6o?
Not enough information, Cynthia. Do you mean a pension? 401(K), 403(b), IRA, etc.? Social Security? And BTW there may be good reasons to take a Social Security survivor benefit at age 60....  (more)

My father passed away who have profit sharing account and 401 k plan now how i know about insurances.
I'm sorry for your loss. I hope your father had good estate planning documents. If so, the letter of instruction should list all asset and insurance amounts and contact information. If not, you have your work cut out for you. First, sort through your father's paperwork for any evidence of life i...  (more)

I received SSA Benefit Info, will you help me to find a plan in 2016?
I don't understand your first question. Are you referring to Medicare plans? Those are separate from the Social Security Administration. If you are, go to medicare.gov and navigate around their excellent website. Their great search engine lets you sort, in various ways, all the plans available i...  (more)
